Spend a week dancing to music and reconnecting with the joy of just listening to and moving your body.<br />
<strong>Do it for your mind</strong><br />
Nia White Belt challenged me to see life in a new way. For example, the principle – life as art – I now find beauty in the most unlikely places.<br />
<strong>Do it for your health</strong><br />
One of the things I learned in Nia was that I walk incorrectly. I have had knee problems for years and I assumed it was just the way it was and I adapted. I am learning to walk in a new way, which is helping to correct my knee problems.<br />
<strong>Do it for fun</strong><br />
Have you ever danced like an angry butterfly? Or slithered like a snake on the ground? Or pretended to be a ballerina? Me neither before Nia White Belt. The training is just downright fun.<br />
<strong>Do it for yourself</strong><br />
During my Nia training, I realized that I had never taken a week to focus on myself and my body. So often, we attend to the needs of others – children, husbands, friends, co-workers, etc. I needed some time to focus inward and I feel stronger as a result.</p>
<p>If you or someone you know is ready to dive deeper into their Nia practice and experience two magical weekends, please know that this next intensive is coming in one month to Core Movement Center in Nevada City.  I am planning on taking the Nia White Belt and I hope you will consider it too.  Current Nia belts are welcome to audit sessions and the daily Nia classes are open to the public.  For questions about the Nia White Belt Intensive,<strong> please contact Aimee Retzler at aimeeretzler@yahoo.com.</strong></p>
