Class Descriptions

The Nia Tech­nique:  Nia is an instructor-led move­ment class done bare­foot to music that com­bines dance, mar­tial and heal­ing arts and deliv­ers car­dio­vas­cu­lar and whole body con­di­tion­ing. Nia is easy to fol­low and leaves you feel­ing phys­i­cally ener­gized and emo­tion­ally vibrant. Nia is taught in 3 lev­els mak­ing it acces­si­ble to peo­ple of all ages and fit­ness lev­els.  All Levels

The God­dess Work­out:  Feel like a god­dess as you move to upbeat World Beat Music.  This class is FUN and pro­vides a full-body work­out:  Low impact Aer­o­bic, Strength train­ing for Butt, Gluts and Core, and Fluid Flex­i­bil­ity.  Level 2–3

Mind­ful Move­ment:  Turn rigid­ity into flu­id­ity with slow gen­tle move­ments with the breath to relax, release and restore.  This class is for every body as it is very ther­a­peu­tic in nature and mod­i­fi­ca­tions are always given. All Levels

Tribal Fusion Belly Dance:  A jour­ney of self-discovery through the core foun­da­tional move­ments of belly dance with Up-Beat & Lus­cious Lay­ers of Move­ment.  All Levels

Belly Dance Basics– Egypt­ian Style:  Through this dance you will find a vital­ity and free­dom of express­ing your inner God­dess regard­less of age or body type.  Cor­rect pos­ture and mus­cle con­trol is also a very impor­tant part of belly dance cre­at­ing core strength and a ground­ing cen­ter.  Belly Dance is a fun and beau­ti­ful dance form where we learn undu­la­tions, iso­la­tions, hip hits, and shimmies.

Embo­d­i­d­ance:  A con­scious move­ment class ded­i­cated to strength, sta­mina, flu­id­ity, con­nec­tion, plea­sure, and prayer.  Come awaken your body as we lis­ten to sen­sa­tion, con­nect with our weight, our breath, and the earth.  Sup­ported by pas­sion­ate music, we’ll sense our bod­ies in space and uti­lize the gift of rela­tion­ship as a way to expand our embod­ied expe­ri­ence.  All Levels

Inner Radi­ance Qigong:  A com­pre­hen­sive set of nine pos­tures that is an effec­tive and easy-to-learn pro­gram. The slow move­ments com­bined with breath and inten­tion bring vital­ity and sup­port heal­ing in the body while pro­duc­ing a calm, focused aware­ness.  The unique qual­ity of this set is that it opens and strength­ens the deep mus­cles of the body cre­at­ing an over­all phys­i­cal inte­gra­tion and increased energy flow. Enliven­ing Spirit Qigong:  Ground­ing, cen­ter­ing & revi­tal­iz­ing. Prac­tices drawn from Chi­nese Med­i­cine, Qi Gong & Hatha Yoga enliven the body, mind & spirit. Using pos­tures, move­ments, breath­work &inten­tion, we will con­nect with Heaven and Earth, expand our energy cen­ters, open and strengthen our energy merid­i­ans, clear, ener­gize and reg­u­late our  organs, & cul­ti­vate the Five Ele­ments within.  All Levels

Lis­ten­ing In:  This is a class designed for those who wish to dive into body sen­sa­tion and nat­ural impulse as a path for per­sonal and col­lec­tive explo­ration and trans­for­ma­tion.  In this self-directed move­ment prac­tice, we begin in “mind­ful­ness” to gain access to present, embod­ied expe­ri­ence.  We move from this inner pres­ence, let­ting the expres­sion emerge nat­u­rally.  This prac­tice most often leaves us refreshed, inte­grated, nour­ished, and filled with clar­ity.  All Levels
